Tell us- what are you most excited to read? Let us know in the comments below!

Would it be possible to post more stuff from the silver and especially bronze ages? Or are those:
A)Not available
2)Not very popular with subscribers?

Wow, this is… incredibly disappointing. As someone who doesn’t care about Wildstorm, there’s absolutely nothing for me in the back issues. And am I crazy, or did the team just drop Captain carrot and not finish digitizing it? This is the third time this has happened in less than a year, with the team dropping Zatanna and Superman: The Secret Years after only a single issue, despite both series only being 4 issues long. At this point, I’m afraid to start a series until it’s been completed because I can’t even guarantee that you’ll finish a 4 issue miniseries without leaving me hanging.

Meanwhile, we still can’t even get the remaining issues of Milestone we need to read the crossovers, despite them already being in the compendiums. I assumed it was because you wanted to spread out the lineup so it wasn’t entirely Milestone, but it seems that was wrong, especially if you’re all perfectly happy digitizing nothing but Wildstorm. Plus, all of these Wildstorm titles are long, too. We’re going to be getting nothing but Wildstorm for a solid year at this point.

No Sandman? Or maybe a special announcement coming soon?

Usually with Vertigo they tend to drop it as a surprise, so if we are getting it, we’ll probably get a nice big batch release of them when the show releases.

This really gets me excited to read, I’m so thankful that I was able to resubcribe, can’t wait!
Hopefully the missing issues of…
The Batman Adventures
Adventures Comic
Action Comics
Detective Comics
Be added soon. :slightly_smiling_face:

I have nothing to add. You said everything I was thinking. Moderators, please pass along @chaotickairos’s and my displeasure to whomever is responsible for this.

Edit: OK, I do have one thing to add. Last time I checked, this was DC Universe Infinite, not WildStorm Universe Infinite. There are still at least 10,000 DC Universe-based comics that need to be digitized before anyone even thinks of doing anything with WildStorm.

What’s Icon 43? Didn’t that book only run 42 issues? If there’s a hole in the schedule because of this, it would be a great place to add Worlds Collide to the list. It’s just one issue, and is the center of a huge Milestone/Superman crossover, all other chapters of which are available.

I’m disappointed too. But with Captain Carrot, it’s not a series with a real throughline. Issues 1-16 are all pretty episodic, and there’s no big finale in issue 20. There’s no reason not to start it – there’s plenty to enjoy, and it shouldn’t leave you hanging.

I really want them to add World’s Collide. I’ve been holding off on Milestone because I want to read all of them together, and now I’m realizing we might never get that, sigh.

We’re making plans to get the whole series on DCUI soon!

If they have 5 slots (6 now, it seems) I don’t see why they can’t have say, 1 slot for Milestone, 1 for Wildstorm, 1 post crisis, 1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze. That we we get a nice healthy line-up where there’s something for everyone. Right now, having 4/6 slots being taken up by Wildstorm just doesn’t seem healthy- if someone loves Wildstorm, they’re in heaven. But I’ve been asking for more of Connor Hawke Green Arrow for 3 years now at this point and I’m so tired of having to keep begging for it.

Nice to know! I’ll have to check it out, it looks like a really fun series and I’m always down for something a little more light hearted.

Yeah, I liked that they had a lot of focus on Milestone – it seemed like a good idea with the relaunch. And I imagine Wildstorm fans might be really excited about this development, and I don’t want to begrudge them that; I’m sure they’ve been waiting a while too. But putting the Wildstorm books on the every-other-week schedule of Milestone would open up two slots to classic DC. I like your breakdown of eras – that sounds ideal.

I’m starting to feel like I wished on the Monkey’s Paw…

There’s not that many Milestone issues left, too, so once that slot opens up you could use it for something else, like maybe classic issues of Detective - we’re still missing a couple hundred of that alone. I think “You can read all 80+ years of Detective Comics!” would be an incredible marketing pitch to comics fans.

I just want everyone to have something for them! Not everything has to be for me, but it would be nice if there was just one thing. Just one.

Your displeasure has been noted, thanks for the feedback (both of you).

Again, we can’t please everyone, but more archive issues were requested and the team responded. The team is small and the WS issues are likely the issues that require the least effort to get onto the service, thus they are able to add them faster which allows for six issues a week like what you will see at the end of August.

I understand that it’s frustrating when the issues you want to see aren’t on this list, but I think it’s appropriate to give the archive team some praise for listening to feedback and acting on it. Six issues a week was a rare occurrence last year for the archive team, so I’m personally happy to see it happening again.

I’m also glad to be seeing 6 issues added a week, even if WildStorm isn’t particularly my thing. Every comic is going to be somebody’s favorite. I know we have a number of WS fans here who are going to be happy about this.

Thanks, Alec. That’s a good point on perspective, that the more recent Wildstorm issues are easier to prepare for DCUI, and therefore can be done more quickly. I’m not crazy about the current mix, but it’s a good reminder that there are technical issues behind the scenes that affect these decisions, and that some comics are easier to digitize than others.

Here’s looking at you @Vroom and @Bar-El :eyes:
