What's cooking in your new comic releases kitchen for the week of 2/20?

What are the new literary delights for this week that you’re eager to stuff into your mental maw?

My top five treats are:
-Naomi #2
-Aquaman #45
-Damage #14
-Justice League #18
-High Level #1

I’ll give the Mister Miracle trade a hoopla whirl too.

So…what are you picking from the metaphorical comic vending machine this week?

@vroom Bitter Root is an Image comic book by Jamal Campbell (the co-writer of Naomi) and Chuck Brown.

It’s about the Sangereye family that lives in Harlem in the 1920’s. They cure humans that have turned into monsters. Things get weird, (well weirder) and their family struggles to overcome.

It’s a very smart comic with some beautiful art by Sanford Greene, and really strong world building. Definitely recommend it if you like horror fantasies with some sociopolitical commentary.

@LongLiveTimDrake I’ve been trade-waiting Bitter Root (that is what I do for most of my Image reads). I love horror, so I’ve been excited for that one since seeing it on solicitations.

@LLTD thank you for the details. That sounds like a good series.
