Applejack revealed on Office Hours that we will have to wait for Tuesday to see the final 5000 comics added. However the key word final has answered most of what is coming.
With the goal of up to a year ago and the fact that we stopped last around Flashpoint it seems next week will be most if not ALL of
Flashpoint Tie ins
New 52
Rebirth (Up to a Year Ago)
Flashpoint will be awesome to have as its arguably one of the best DC Events Ever. The tie-ins add to the experience rather than detract.
New 52 in all its glory and failures. Of course a couple cool gems should be coming like
Red Lanterns and Sinestro Corps
Nightwing, Batman, Superman, and Action Comics full runs!
For those curious, my what’s new this week segment will be changing drastically! I’m looking at including comic solicitation info and doing an end of the week ranking everything I read starting in a week or two. Also based on this tease, I will be posting my DC Rebirth Reading Order in whatever form its in Monday Night. If you are impatient though you can read my original How to Get into Rebirth Post which only consist of titles OUT NOW on DCU.
(P.S. I have AP tests in 2 weeks so if I’m quiet. I’m Sorry! I am looking forward to reading everything though)
THE OFFICIAL REVEAL OF WHAT’S COMING WILL BE ON TUESDAY IN THE WHAT’S NEW TO DC UNIVERSE ARTICLE. HOWEVER I WILL LIKELY POST IN ADVANCE SOME OF THE NEW STUFF (BUT NOT ALL)
Also go read the fantastic Watchtower for your weekly updates!
While i hate to speculate too much and potentially set myself up for disappointment. I am suspecting given how they are releasing more Harley Quinn comics should be part of the next update… so I am cautiously psyched!
There appears to be still a few pre-Flashpoint comics that have been digitized but not yet on DCUniverse, such as:
52 Aftermath: The Four Horsemen
America vs. the Justice Society
Aztek
Challengers of the Unknown #82-85
DC Secret Files: The Titans
Justice League Quarterly #1-6
Justice League Europe #18, 19, 26
Super Powers (1985)
Hopefully, they’ll be included in the next update.
Alot of the titles you mention are currently (America vs the Justice Society and Super Powers) are only available digitally as part of collections, something which is not being added as part of this expansion. Whether there are plans to eventually release these individually is unclear but it will probably take a long time given how many holes exist in the digital archive.
Other missing titles (the Challengers) were probably just missed in the shuffle of adding so many comics in such a short time and will probably be added in May as they clean up.
Its also likely that there are some titles ( like Countdown to Final Crisis) that may be part of some internal issue or licensing deal.
Any chance you can start doing a timeline for the series. Doom Patrol especially seems to be rewriting the entire history of the main comic book universe as we know it. Titans made its own tweaks. And it sounds like there will be some new characters in Swamp Thing. I assume they are all part of the same shared universe.
Huh. I had noticed they added one of the two series (the first) but not the second. I could be wrong but I could have sworn they didn’t have at least one available individually on ComiXology so maybe that’s another recent addition.
