Interesting. I’ve never met someone whose favorite story is Endgame. I’ve also read a lot, so I’ll be back in a bit with my list.

Dark Prince Charming was an amazing book. One of my favorite Bat books in years. That’s one that’s slipped past a lot of people, you never hear anyone talk or mention it. The only person I’ve heard mention it is Jamie from Holybatcast. I wonder if people will still remember it in 10 years, or it will be another one that’s forgotten?

Why’s Year 100 so low? I love that book! Anyway, my top three are:

  1. Batman: Year One
  2. Batman: Mad Love
  3. The Dark Knight Returns

1: The Long Halloween
2: Detective Comics #826 (seriously, a oneshot)
3: Knightfall (Yes, really - the good parts are really good and the bad parts are kind of a guilty pleasure)
4: Heart of Hush
5: The Laughing Fish (and the story involving Hugo Strange leading up to it)
6: Hush
7: Legacy
8: No Man’s Land
9: The Black Mirror
10: The Many Deaths of Batman

@stuart. Agreed, a hidden gem that’s amazing.

@Batwing. I found it to be really dull and boring at times

@Awesome_squid. I really loved Endgame, everything that happens in the comic is so damn crazy, from Joker finding out who Batman is, Alfred losing his hand, Batman gathering other villains to stop Joker, the end with both of them dying. I was marking out like a maniac reading that comic, one of the best experiences i’ve had in my life

@BatJamags i Just read 826, amazing stuff!

Golden Age Batman and Batman Brave and The Bold

Batman #400
Year One
Detective Comics #544, 545
Batman '66

One underrated series that I hardly see mentioned is Batman Adventures. I wrote in an earlier post that my second favorite Batman comic was Mad Love, which was a one-shot spinoff of that. If anyone hasn’t read that, all of those stories are great Batman.

I’m brand new to Batman comics but I really enjoyed the Court of Owls storyarc

Scott Snyder’s New 52 Batman, starting with the Court of Owls (if I remember correctly) is my favorite Batman run.

Court of owls is one of the best modern stories IMO for a classic story denny O’Neil’s run that introduces Ra’s Al Ghul
