What is your favorite Batman graphic novel?

I enjoy Mark Miller’s novels but is there any other really good ones?

“Noel” is good. Bermejos art is always on point. Also any of the Loeb/Sale collaborations are fantastic.

I’ve always liked The Cult. My favorite arc that I want to see in collected graphic novel form is Year 3. Anything written by Azzarello gets into my top faves lists.

If it’s all the same to you, I’m going to disregard the “graphic novel” part and just lay out some great Batman (or Batman-inclusive) storylines. These are in no particular order.

  1. Batman R.I.P.
  2. Anything by Scott Snyder (Court of Owls, Zero Year, Endgame, All-Star Batman)
  3. Final Crisis and The Return of Bruce Wayne
  4. Rock of Ages (from Grant Morrison’s run on JLA)
  5. Batman & Batman and Robin Eternal
  6. Futures End
  7. Batman: Earth One
  8. The Dark Knight Returns
  9. Hush
  10. The Killing Joke

These are just 10. I mixed some well known ones with some that I fell are under appreciated. They’re all great!
