I just confused Jason Blood for Brother Blood for the hundredth time, and finally decided to see if there was some connection between the two - but there isn’t! Two men named Blood with direct lines to demons (demons with very similar names, even) and there’s absolutely no overlap.
Which leads me to my question: are there any characters or concepts in the DCU that have no connection to each other, but you think should?

I don’t know. I’ve always though that the various DC intelligence agencies (D.E.O., Spyral, A.R.G.U.S., Checkmate, etc.) should have more to do with each other. I’d love a Sandbaggers-influenced comic take on the bureaucracy that plays between all of them.

The Question’s name is Charles Victor Szasz.
There’s a well-known serial killer in Gotham named Victor Zsasz.
They have never met.

Atom and bumblebee. For some reason I always thought they were a team. I guess I never payed attention to the atom comics.

The Mad Hatter has never had any contact with Red Alice.

Oh man, have we never gotten a kick-ass spy story with all of them at war with each other?? That practically writes itself!

Yes…I think Bendis just did that one.

Jervis and Alice fighting for control of the Wonderland Gang seems like such a good set-piece, though! I’m wondering if Batwoman intends to do something about that in season two, honestly. Maybe their own sort of War of Jokes and Riddles?

Or maybe Jervis falls in love with her? There’s a lot you can do.

Well, he did a story where they all collapse, and then he started prepping for a Checkmate run. I like all those comics, but I don’t think that qualifies.
What I want more than anything is an intense bureaucratic look at superhuman intelligence in the DCU. The conflict between the agencies is purely political. Just give me twenty pages of mildly frustrated middle-managers going at each other in boardrooms over whether or not they have clearance to do this or that for $3.99 a month, and I’ll buy it.

I’d love a story where you learn that they’re cousins and we just get a whole issue of them at an extremely awkward family reunion.

Or who knows? Maybe illegitimate half-brothers. Vic was raised in an orphanage.

Are James Gordon Jr. and Bruce Gordon cousins? And if so, wouldn’t Bruce Gordon’s evil alter ego (Eclipso) try to possess James as means to kill–or control–both Commissioner Gordon and The Batman?

In my dreams, Zealot’s Coda are rivals and frenemies of the Amazons
Captain Marvel/Shazam is a hero who gets his powers from various–but primarily Greco-Roman–gods and has abilities and morals similar to Superman.
Prometheus is a villain named after the Greco-Roman figure who stole from the gods and whose origin and abilities are a twisted mirror of Batman’s.
WHY HAVE THESE TWO NEVER FOUGHT!?!?

That could be interesting especially now without her mouse.
I’ve got another one: the red Martians of Saturn and the Titanians! That’s two entirely unrelated telepathic species living on basically the same planet, when one totally could’ve evolved from the other!

Dopey ten-year-old me thought Lois and Lana were sisters because their last names were so similar. I miss that little guy.

Update: They have now met. DC PRIDE #1.
I used to think the same thing. You are not alone!
