Just wondering if I should hold out on buying from Comixology for now

We don’t know right now. They removed the sign were they would do that

There is a faq in the DC Universe help & support page that discusses this. Here is the quote and link:

">Will the comics I purchased on Comixology or the DC app be available in my DC Universe account?<

Comixology and the DC app are different services from DC Universe, and your purchases there will not be reflected in your DC Universe account.

However, you will still be able to access them in the same place you purchased them."

So, my take from this is that anything you buy at Comixology will remain available there. No need to wait for a desired purchase.
