I only ever saw one and it was with the magazines, so I am guessing it was stocked wrong or something. I asked a few people, only evber got blank looks.

I would attribute this due to an outside vendor (whom, I have no idea) being the one that stocks the Giant comics, and not Walmart employees. I ran some UPCs (that I copied from the books themselves) by Customer Service once, and the employee said that literally nothing came up in their computer.
AFAIK, this is the case with the majority of product in the card games/comics/miscellaneous section at Walmart. Outside vendors come in and merchandise it, while Walmart’s store level gig is to sell it.
