Top 12 Villains.
I realize my list is Batman villain heavy, but I simply think Batman’s has not just the best villains in DC but the best in all of comicdom.
Yes, I’ve committed sacrilege by omitting the Joker. I don’t do this to be controversial. My own opinion there’s been a tendency to “lean” on The Joker too much, something really bad going to happen in Gotham or to Batman, it’s always The Joker who’s the culprit. Though it was nice to see The Riddler be the main villain in Year Zero, even though I wasn’t a fan of that interpretation.
I do not dismiss The Joker is a phenomenal character, and one I find terrifying, but I’m an old fashioned hopeful person that believes the heroes need to win in the comics, as that’s the thing that gives us hope, and I find the creators have let The Joker pervert this notion. And that’s what puts me off him.
Again, the only thing I’m am going on here is personal preference. So please keep outrage civil.
