This is the most fun I’ve had reading Miller in years. I can definitely see his love of Superman and of the hope he represents. Not to mention the beautiful art by John Romita Jr. However, if he wanted to see the rest of the world then couldn’t he simply fly around it rather than join the NAVY?

I really liked it! The art work was great, the story had a timeless feel to it and was just overall well written. It didnt seem like just another origin story just for the sake of telling a origin story. As for your Clark seeing the world question I think he’s looking for a sense of purpose not just a jaunt around the world, so I guess he thinks serving the country will give him that purpose.
