@Row.Harper That Dragon Con Medal looks awesome.
I’ve been out of practice. Unfortunately, I haven’t run in weeks. I’m going to get back on it though.

My knees have really been aching at night. Running anyway, may need to check into getting better shoes.
That’s what got me to sign up so quick! I really don’t need another virtual race, but, well, they snookered me with that medal.
Also, sorry about the delay, but I’ve got the September Run Log up if those of you who are on rolls (@stefanie.m / @msgtv) or need to get back to it (@PMoslice) want to post your efforts…
To get my butt moving, in addition to the Justice League series and DragonCon Hustle, I signed up for Run Across America’s Fall Challenge. Might also join a friend for the virtual Gritty Run! Fall weather is certainly helping. Road running gets me out of bed so much better than a treadmill, even if my old man knees are no longer used to it, so I need to stick to shorter distances.

Same, but then the weather changed. I’m at the point where I can forecast the weather based on the aches in my body.
I just switched to new shoes 100 miles ago, so I should be a couple of hundred miles away even in summer when roads really wear on the heels. Winter treadmill running I can get 600 miles on a good pair.
This ^ its been low to mid 70s in the am so its not totally unbearable to get a run in before work
Ran 4.5 today, got a bloody toe, listening to good tunes. All is right in the world or at least as right as they can get at the moment
Correction two bloody toes
Dope as heck visor!
Dang. From shoes?
Quick! Does anyone here know the best way to write someone moving at Flash-level speeds?
(Side note: I just noticed that no one has been here in A YEAR.
Far more than a year. This was a club idea that didn’t really take form well, as it was trying to make a solo real world activity a virtual group activity…
Definitely open to resurrection ideas.
Would love to come back but I’m still injured. I’ve been focusing on calisthenics and boxing workouts.
Didn’t run from Aug 3 till Jan, knee feels much better, no pain, tried very light on treadmill, could feel knee. Instead, it’s lots of time off the recumbent bike in the basement and the rowing machine. And, they work, but still don’t get the mental health benefit of running.
Ugh. Glad to see I’m not the only one having a hard time getting moving again after injury. I was walking three miles every morning for a while to build a habit, but business travel and the Covid it brought me disrupted that. Hoping to get back to it soon now that weather is a bit more inviting (and my home office renovations are almost done).
Indoor exercise just doesn’t do it for me. I need to already have a strong outdoor habit to get the treadmill to not be terrible. Sounds like the basement rowing machine might be similar for you?
Yeah, the bike I don’t mind cause it’s low impact and I get a lot of reading done, and it works so I’ve dropped weight but II don’t get the rush of a great workout
I now know after all this time that I was never in it for the health- it was always for the rush. I still work out because it does feel good, but man, I miss that rush.
I was slowly getting back into a gym rhythm in December but then I got sick. I am just now getting back into that gym rhythm again. I do enjoy working out, I don’t enjoy the process of getting to the gym sometimes.
I have been lifting more than I have in years. I can put muscle on but it takes time and it’s quick to go away. But my vanity likes it when my t-shirt sleeves get tighter.
