Haha, I’ve done that a few times. Would love to be back in the shape where it works again. Nowadays feeling a little sick just makes me want to curl up in the corner in a fleece lined ball.

It’s been a long winter. I hope you were not like and continued to run. But it’s time to get ready for the 2022 run season. Just got notification registration is now open.

Hey Speedsters!! Logged any miles lately? This past Saturday I did a Ice Pop 5k!!!
I did horrible 
But only way to go from here is up!!

I’ve been reduced to walking lately, but am signed up for a community 5k July 9, so hoping to ramp up a bit of running time before then so I finish before the local 90 year old lady with the bad hip who walks it with the police K9 team as an sweep/escort.

They do them virtually now, see if you can still sign up. They’ll ship all of your swag, including a finisher medal

Yeah, I did all three virtually last year, but was hoping to do one when they return in person. I like the whole “run through an amusement park” idea. I’ve done races through zoos, race tracks (horses, cars, and humans), airports, military bases, and the like, but never an amusement park.

That’s awesome, I’ve only run parks, I did a beach once but it was not actually on the beach, close enough to see the ocean though. I’m looking forward to signing up for a couple more.

Just completed the 2022 Wonder Woman Virtual Race this morning. My time has dropped significantly since last year, it’s taking me 10 minutes longer to finish a 5K now

Was having a record year until I started having trouble with my achilles tendon. I’ve been focusing on physical therapy and calisthenics, so at least I’m keeping active until I can run again. I’ll get back out there, just not as fast as I would like.
Nice swag! I love wearing my gear from the virtual races. I also have the medals hanging. They are actually the only of my medals I have on display, which is kind of funny.

Maybe we can make another thread, the Batman workout. How many pull ups can you do with a 90lb weight chained to your waist?
