On page 8 is a fun moment where Starfire shows she’s not clueless about human society, and especially teenage boys, think. She’s being pretty nice about it, but she really wants to go with her friends on a ride in the Batmobile.
The next page goes all the way back to 1966, and the startup checklist from the live TV show. Loved the recent riffing of the 1966 show by cartoon characters Terry McGinnis and elderly Bruce Wayne, during DC FanDome. I’m serious: I would pay $100, at least, for similar riffing of the entire live TV series.
What’s a comical comic book for, if not for showing we’re not taking anything seriously. So the road trip takes what has to be weeks. It makes no sense, but it’s fun. Love the reactions of Starfire and Beast Boy to the print of the impossibly cute doggie.
