With Superman year one coming out. I was wondering what people’s favorite Superman origin is. My pick is Superman: Birthright.

I loved Birthright. I remember getting all the issues when they 1st came out.
If it counts as origin, my favorite I think would be Superman For All Seasons. Anytime Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale work together, it’s a classic.

I still prefer John Byrnes’s Man of Steel. To me, this is still the definitive origin of Superman.

I side with @baseballmaniac on this. Byrne’s Man of Steel is the definitive origin for me, but I still enjoy reading the newer adaptations, like Birthright and Secret Origin. They all bring something new and a slight twist on Superman’s legend.

His Post Crisis origin in Man of Steel, only because that was when I really got into comics, so I consider that MY Superman.
