Thanks for the archive, as a new member to the club, I’m glad I can go back and see what you all have been up to and what the selections were. Plus, I love that Action Comics issue, that was one of my earliest Superman back issues, I got it at a flea market as a kid.

Thanks very much.

Since I haven’t been able to walk into comic book stores due my ancient age during our pandemic, I’ve been putting the money in saving that I’m not spending buying old 60’s Action Comics for their cool covers lol. I truly miss browsing for bargains on the older comics on weekends. I could usually find a fun Superman or Superman family Silver Age comic for between 5 to 7 bucks in decent if not excellent condition, well worth the money!

That’s a pretty cool coincidence that we have that cover featured here that you remember from your childhood.

The DC Super Family Comics that I recall craving when I first got into this hobby around 1964 were the Superboy annuals and Superman annuals, and also the Batman annuals of the time.

I would trade comics with buddies and they would allow me to kind of browse their piles of comics on their closet shelves.

I love that “Goofy Superman,” is basically Alfred E. Newman!
