Honestly them having Routh do the role seems to be more cost-saving than anything. I’d personally rather have Welling just because he did the role for 10 seasons compared to someone who only did it for one movie, but what can you do?

Routh had an unsuccessful superman movie…
Welling had 10 years but became a very disappointing CGI superman… So… Idk!!
