I see where you’re going with this, and believe me, I AM NO Snyder fan. I have a rant about him on the Is Warner Bros. Out of Touch With What DC Fans Want? thread. I hated Dawn of the Dead, 300 and the only version of Watchmen I’ll watch in the super extended cut - even then, I hate the ending, why no squid? The man uses slow motion too much! It’s like heavy salt, or exclamation points at the end of every sentence, slo mo is an accent, not to be over used. Having said that, I think this may be his masterpiece. I think the slower build up worked to establish the characters and story.
