Blue. Alfred dutifully waits on Batman every night, but never abandons his hope that one day Bruce, his son, will allow himself to be happy.

Honestly, I could see Alfred using any ring from green over to possibly violet if you count platonic love as sufficient to fuel that.
Blue does seem to suit him, though. Plus, it fits how the blue rings supercharge green ones and short-circuit red ones. Alfred tempers Bruce’s rage and strengthens his resolve by supporting him when he needs it.

@HCQ i agree completley, for me it was hope or passion, he is very passionate about his duties not only as a butler, but as a father to bruce, he believes so strongly he owes martha and Thomas everything, and within that, raising bruce became his “call to duty”.

@capthunder i agree completely, but @batjamags makes a grear point, and now that i think about it alfred could fall under a lot of categories. He is a special man.

I’ll post a new character next Tuesday, I’ll take some suggestions from everyone.
I like the arguement for indigo/compassion, although I don’t like the background for that Corps. Although, in Blackest Night/Brightest Day Ray seemed to be deputized without the weird brainwashing thing, so Alfred should be ok.
Blue/hope makes sense too.

I believe the official explanation is that Indigo rings seek bearers like any other, but the Tribe’s leadership forcibly assigns them to brainwashed criminals instead of letting them locate genuinely compassionate people.

I feel like he’d use a yellow ring pretty effectively. Could be interesting if Etrigan and Jason Blood were each given a different ring. Maybe green for him?

I feel he would be a red. Feel the demons rage. It do like the idea of Jason having a different ring. I do feel he would have green.
One things for certain is he’ll have no problem with those oaths.

The only thing is that the Red rings tend to be drawn to people who are experiencing rage because they’ve been wronged and want revenge. Etrigan, while mean, is not usually angry or vengeful as such. Cruelty for its own sake is more the domain of the Sinestro Corps than the Reds.

I was thinking of the two different ring theory as well before picking him, i wanted to see if anyone would say anything about it! Nice @batjamags! I believe jason blood would fit nicely with a green or even blue ring, and definitely a yellow ring for etrigan, but he would use it for good.
