Over the last eighty years, Batman sure hasn’t had any shortage of different gadgets. From Batarangs to Batmobiles to grapnel guns to explosive gels to Batphones to… well, you get the picture. But what’s your favorite? And most fun of all, which one would you be most want to use everyday. I wish I could get one of his line launchers, but that’s probably just because it would make going down long hallways a lot more fun. And I know it might not be popular, but there’s something I love about the good ol’ Whirly-Bat.
From Batman’s utility belt to mine:
-Bat Shark Repellant Spray
-the Batman Returns Batarang
-the BTAS grapnel gun (I love the sound design of it)
It’s not a utility belt gadget, but the glove concealed grapple launcher(s) from Batman & Robin are pretty schway too.
The shark repellent bat spray, of course
But I think the various versions of the batline/rope/silken cord get used the most.
The Whirly-Bat might not be popular, but it should be.
Batmobile from the nolan movies. Never be late for work again.
Of course it’s the famous shark repellent.
But also the remote control baterang for the Arkham games was fun.
The BTAS grapel is great too.
Honorable mention is the bat empty alphabet soup container.
It’s obviously that bat credit card from Batman & Robin…wonder what the limit is on that thing ?
everyone who isn’t saying the batmobile is going on my list
@moro It’s good through Forever, so I bet the limit is Unlimited, with any potential interest being Giant in size.
I rather like the kryptonite ring. Used, on occasion, to keep certain kryptonians in check.
Of course, the shark repellent, but where would Batman be without some smoke pellets?
I’m gonna go with the mechanism in his belt that makes the grappel gun slide from the back of the belt to the buckle.
@more Tornado specified the Batmobile as an option! But also yes
Ah…I didn’t see that! Chalk it to speed reading. Batmobile it is
I think the sonar device he uses to summon all the bats is so awesome! This is a great question btw.
hops into the Batman Forever Batmobile, tosses his utility belt in the passenger seat, puts on some Michael Hutchence and cruises about
She handles great!
Honorable mention to the Bat-crotch-puncher seen in Batman 89
I think the freeze-pellets. How do you fight a liquid, like Clayface? Or stop a water attack or large wave? By making them solid. I see the argument for smoke pellets, as well.
And yes, kudos to all the absurdist Batman ‘66 utility belt gadget.
