Onomatopoeias In DC

Join me in a quest to make a complete list of onomatopoeias (words like biff and pow)! I’ll make an alphabetically sorted wiki below! Extended onomatopoeias won’t count (like vrooooom would just count as vroom). Which are your favorite? Which don’t you like?

I would have to check to be sure, but I think they used around 76 different onomatopoeias on the TV show Batman '66!

 Trying to remember from 1966 Batman…
CRASH!
OOOOF!
BANG!
YOW-EEE!
BIFF!
POW!
SLAM!

Well done old chum, one thing for sure, the criminals never learn that, Crime doesn’t pay.

There’s gotta be a classic “KA-POW” somewhere in there, right?

A great movie with an even better sequel.

Shrek 4 is at least on par with the first one as well. Strange they skipped from 2 to Forever After.

I’m really glad they just made it a trilogy. Shrek, Shrek 2, and Shrek: Forever After are all extremely solid, and it’s great how there wasn’t a filler movie that was boring, unfunny, had a horrible villain, and was the one of the first movies I recognized was bad. Thank goodness!

“Kzzz” is, in my opinion, a vast improvement over the overused “zap.”

Thank you. I worked hard to control my belt so I can keep my onomatopoeias interesting.

It’s my own fault for not securing the copyright before it got popular
