Had a friend tell me about Vendettis run on Hawkman with Bryan Hitch was pretty good. Tried looking for it on here but no luck. Has it just not made it the app yet?
What are some other newer lesser known comics i should check out?

DCUniverse has a cut off date of 1 year for the comics library. So the comics that were new exactly a year ago today are now new on here. This is to protect sales for new comics. You can do like me, I only buy series that I really like otherwise I wait for the series to show up on DCU.
Venditti’s Hawkman first issue should be showing up soon since it was released June 13, 2018. And yes, its fantastic, Ive gone on about it before but its really one of DC’s best series right now. Cant recommend it enough.

Don’t wait for Venditti’s Hawkman to show up on this app, go out and buy the back issues and dive in. It’s that good. And while you’re out shopping pick up Venditti’s Freedom Fighters. Also good stuff. Latch onto Tomasi’s Detective Comics (It’s classic Batman), pick up The Terrifics, Justice League Dark, The Flash–and if you really want a head-scratcher–Justice League. And on the other side of the tracks at “the house of ideas”(?) Amazing Spider-Man and Daredevil are worth your time.

I’ve loved every issue of Hawkman! Easily my favorite thing from Venditti since XO Manowar for Valiant comics.
The 13th issue came out today, so issue 1 should be added pretty soon.

I would love to read all those!! Sadly I’m a father of five and my budget is Razor thin. This app is sadly all I can afford for the near future.

Damage and The Terrifics from “The New Age of Heroes” are really good. On that note people rave about The Silencer. I personally havent been able to get to it yet.
I love the current hawkman venditti may be the most underrated writer in DCs bullpen right now when he took over Green lantern from Geoff Johns I thought it wouldn’t be great but I was totally wrong
