New to dc comics, looking for tips on where to get started.

Looking to get into the dc comics universe. Looking to read old and new series and comics. I’ve read some dc comics but not a lot. My favorite characters are Batman, Martian Manhunter and Green lantern

For Batman, a good place to start is Batman: Year One, found in #404-407.

After that, I would follow up with Batman: The Long Halloween #1-13

Martain Manhunter’s best stuff is in Justice League international, and JLA is also a great great great series.

As for Batman. Batman Year One, Hush and Court of Owls are probably the best ones to read first in terms of best story content anyway.

Martian Manhunter is here mainly in various versions of Justice League Look for Grant Morrison maybe 1996 and Justice League and Justice League International around 1986. He also a mini series here and is in a current mini series which will starting coming here maybe 8 months from now.

The Martian Manhunter ongoing that began in 2015 is a really good and very underrated gem. Definitely check it out if you’re a MM fan.

Good beginner stories:

-Batman: Year One
-New Gods by Jack Kirby (and then once you’ve read that read Mister Miracle by Tom King)
-Omega Men by Tom King
-Green Arrow by Jeff Lemire
-Action Comics by Grant Morrison
-Red Hood and the Outlaws (Rebirth NOT New 52)
