Beginning April 22, Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev will launch a new, six issue mini called “Event Leviathan: Checkmate.” The book will be about Green Arrow, Lois Lane, Talia al’Ghul, and the Question (which Question remains unspecified) teaming up to take down Leviathan. Thoughts?
I’m always here for more Question content.
I thought Event Leviathan fell apart and meandered. I’m not convinced Bendis can make this series work. He keeps bringing back these amazing franchises and then doing a mediocre job.
I will still read it all though…
I’m on board.
I enjoy Bendis’ writing and liked Event Leviathan, despite the fact that I had to read up on Manhunter to appreciate the big reveal a bit more.
i was going to say checkmate yawwwwwn but then you said “green arrow”
I haven’t really read anything about Leviathan yet, but I’m looking forward to reading it for myself.
Agree, the setup was better than the landing. Will wait till it comes to DCU
I think of the Greg Rucka run myself
I hear “Checkmate” and think “Yes, please”.
Event Leviathan was a bit of a mess, but I’ll give this series a whirl.
The title Event Leviathan alone predicts a ragged wanderlusty narrative.
As much as I liked the overall Event Leviathan miniseries, I didn’t like the ending. As long as this ends better than the original, I’m all for it.
Leviathan was a snooze-fest. I’ll pass on this one.
I’d read anything with art by Maleev, especially if he’s drawing Green Arrow.
What an interesting team-up.
This seems like it will probably be my favorite thing.
It’ll be Renee Montoya Question, and it’ll be a ripoff of Charlie’s Angels.
Bow down to my powers of prognostication!
Like I said in another post Event Leviathan was what made me quit current DC.
Does that make Green Arrow Bosley?
I love the second volume of Checkmate.
