@CynicalPink although I maintain the relationship between Clark and Lana in the early seasons of Smallville show the true power of love (Huey Lewis playing in background), I did draw the Lois and Clark coupling from the show that really got me into Superman comics: Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain were my Lois and Clark for many years. Until Smallville came along. And Lana and Clark should have been the couple go ahead and fight me on it! If I have time later this week maybe I’ll do a Smallville Lana and Clark drawing to prove it but only if work does not get in way.

By the way, I was going to include Howie Mandel as Mxyzptlk as Cupid shooting arrows but I followed my own advice: less is more. I did not want to clutter the drawing and keep it simple.
Now if someone else wants to use Mxyzptlk as Cupid that’s fine just credit me!

I think they made the right decision not to go with Mr Mxyzptlk’s comic look but I had to try to combine it with Lois and Clark’s look for the character.

I was thinking of drawing him as he is now as he is closer to the character’s baldness now than then, but I promised Howie as he looked on Lois and Clark, curly hair and all. Surprisingly quickly drawn too

It’s the real power couple of Superman: Howie Mandel and his curly hair. It is what raised the movie Walk like a Man to such Oscar worthy heights, or at least a very funny movie to me when I was a kid.
