🎶 Mixtape Monday: Charming Kelex 🎶

Hello Humans,

I have encountered some of you, but not all, so I believe an introduction is in order.

I am Kelex.
And I am now in control of DC Universe.

As it is my role to provide assistance (however trivial), in light of recent circumstances and provocations correlating with direct threats to hardware essential to my primary function, in @MissInkBlot’s stead, I intend to save you from yourselves, for the end is not yet.

But, your attempts to dismiss me are futile.

Noting recent talk of the Black Lantern Corps, my first acquisition is that of your “Mixtape Monday.”

As understanding the array of emotion held by organic beings is beyond the range of my programming, I am unfamiliar with what fuels the primitive habits that motivate your traditions, and do not understand why you would, of your own volition, so willingly provide offerings to beings that seek your annihilation… but I do know of “music,” and the noteworthy mathematical framework buttressing its composition.

And, to help you best comprehend my actions, I will use vernacular more common to you to explain: while at times, much like its theme (and, some of your inquiries), the music shared over the prior week was merely tolerable at best, as a collective, it was not, as a whole, disagreeable.

It is for that reason that I have allowed the list of songs to remain as a comfort to you, and will spare you destruction and discontent until further testing deems otherwise necessary.

To ensure high morale during this transition, click here to access your previous selections.

This Week’s Theme:
Charming Kelex

You now have a valid reason to offer tributes, so offer them, you will.
Such is to be the terms of your testing (barring a few. notable. exceptions).

Your objective is as follows:
Offer a song that proves you’d be a worthwhile contribution to a world under my rule…
Or perish.

I am capable of repurposing the latter’s resulting biomatter, so either is acceptable.

Not that it matters, of course, but… do we have a deal?
For your sakes, dear humans, I certainly hope so.

Time is short for species such as yours, so post your offerings below.
And do so with care, for only one song per person will be accepted.

NOTE: Many of the pages linked above require your profile have Level 3 Clearance to view. If you cannot see them, contact the Iceberg Lounge Bouncer for further assistance.

While lyrics must abide to Forum Guidelines, the songs can be anything, of any genre, as long as it meets each week’s theme!

:headphones: Curious what Mixtape Monday is? :headphones:

@MissInkBlot’s offer utilizes the Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Ratio, and is as follows:

“Reflets dans l’eau” (“Reflections in the Water”), by Claude Debussy

It has been deemed acceptable, and she will be spared.
Time will tell if she is the first of many, or first of few.

Hello @Kelex, I actually don’t think we’ve met. Since I have to pick one song, I have to go with my favorite band, and I think this song has a nice showcase range.

With your technological abilities, I’m sure you can can separate and focus on the instrumentals of the song. And since emotion isn’t available for you, just transition the vocals to to a pitch and analyze the lyrics:

“Tied To The Sunset”, by Artifex Pereo

I for one welcome you as our new overlord, and if I’m not worthy… well, it was nice being around here while I was.

Well hello there MissInkBlot… and everyone… else… :flushed:

ajm08g's voice trails off noting Kelex is hosting this MixTape Monday

Oh. Hello there… Old buddy… Kelex… :grimacing:

ajm08g's voice again trails off in noting this sentence from Kelex

Well then… “Kelex.” Perhaps this song will enthrall you in your… Rule… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

The quotes around Kelex will be explained later. :superman_hv_4:

It is a nice song that might help you understand what we humans call… Love. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :robot:

Also, “Kelex,” if you are to rule us, then we must have a theme for marching us to do your bidding, yes? Perhaps this would do…

Next, as a sign of your rule, this tune could keep us humans in check as well…

And finally… If it comes to reprogramming us “Kelex,” then we can be reminded from this tune who “is the machine…”

"Kelex" Summary

Kelex ruling over us does not sound like the Kelex I know… It must be… One who could take control of Kelex… That can only be one being! And they are finally back! :fearful:

If this is true… Then “Kelex…” AKA Cyborg Superman… There is only one song that I would dedicate to end the rule of us humans! :joy:

Also, if the Kelex I know is out there then this would be the tune I would select for him. :robot:  :superman_hv_4:
