Big Barda’s first appearance was in 1971’s MISTER MIRACLE #4. The only other name she’s gone by is Barda Free, as wife of Scott Free. Her species is New God, from the planet Apokolips. In the past she’s worked with the Female Furies (before her defection), the Justice League, and on occasion the Birds of Prey. Chief among her abilities is super strength and endurance, expertise in martial combat, and her Mega Rod which projects powerful concussive energy blasts.
