Good for him (not sarcastic). Since the pandemic started I’m working on getting back into my suit suit so I can’t imagine a rubber suit from 30 years ago.

What I like about this is that I think Keaton returned to it because he wanted to. At times in interviews before he seemed indifferent, and sure it’s a paycheck, but I don’t get the sense that he’s annoyed with going back to the character. Sometimes actors hold a grudge for being known for a role, especially pop culture roles, and it shows in their performances. For example, Jennifer Lawrence seemed bored to death the last few times she played Mystique.

Thank you so much for this interview! I too have been waiting for Michael Keaton to return to Batman.
I love how he said it was strangely normal when he put the costume back on.
The only reason for that is… he is Batman!
I just hope they do bring him back. I don’t see how they could lose. He has such a huge fan base.
