Magic Reading Order

So it’s exactly what it sounds like. Outside of Atlantis, the magical corner of DC is my absolute favorite. Specifically the type of magic that you would find in Justice League Dark. I’ve scoured the ole google contraption, and while I found a lot of good recommendations, none of them feels truly complete. So let’s see what y’all have.

FYI: I have read a lot of magical books in my time, so chances are that I will have read it. But let’s just pretend I haven’t read them for the sake of this post lol.

PS: Let’s include Raven and magic centered Wonder Woman in this as well

Promethea is unlike anything. It ain’t for everybody, but if you like magic with a j and maybe with a k it is the book for you. There is a panel with no action where you swear Aleister Crowley is peeking into your soul.

By Alan Moore, right? I don’t think I’ve ever read that one, tbh. But yea, anything that would fit in a Justice League Dark story or Sandman Universe story is right up my alley.

And I definitely like both magic and majik lol

Neil Gaiman’s Books of Magic should be your first stop.
