I was early for a holiday party and wanted to use up some rewards and the nearest Starbucks was coincidentally a mile away at the nearest Target.
They had a healthy number of the Mamoaman with Topo figure so I hope it eventually goes on clearance since all I really want is a Topo, and I’d rather buy him retail and not pay for postage to get him loose. They had a lot of DC product on the shelf, but only two new items:
I found these underwhelming. I mean, I do like the concept and design of the “Sunken Citadal Pirate” - but he means nothing to me to want to own it, even at $39 (and I will say that these still look impressive at that price point for those who do like the design or character - that’s just not me - but not as great as some of the earlier oversized figures like the Anti-Monitor and the one I am still impressed enough that I may one day buy it, the Frankenstein).
And this Arthur is just really very bland. I think I would have preferred a Mera in this size especially if they are going to recast/dump Amber Heard, or an Atlanna, or depending on what costume he’s in, an Orm. I would have been satisfied with an Orm from the earlier film.
The oversized Black Manta statue looks good in the designs - I’ve yet to see it in the wild - and while an OC item, the trident looks nice enough - just not $600 nice.
I do like the design and aesthetics of this Aquaman coffee mug. More because I want to see them come up with something when they release the Super Woman of Tomorrow/Kara movie, and more so, for when they release the planned Authority movie, because I want a mug of Apollo and Midnighter making out for every time I have coffee during second breakfast!
But I think the more interesting thing is the Manta Helmet (head) only bust which I have no idea why this needs to costs $1100, and I wish MTS would consider some things like that concept for the $39 oversized statues, since it’s real simple and real basic and I’m not sure why the expense save that only 250 of them will be made, and it lights up.

For $1100, I would want to be able to actually wear this at a costume carnival, etc. etc… Or PAY to have someone make me a prop, which I am sure I could pay a college engineering or science student, or perhaps a talented cos-player to make me a really decent screen accurate, functional/lights up helmet if I gave them $1K and permission to post photos on Instagram/Tik Tok of the item.
Photo dump from some weeks ago a local store (Puzzle Zoo) in downtown Santa Monica that I had ignored many because, by name and store window front appearance, as a shop that specializes in and, I presumed, merely sold puzzles. But they had Funkos one day in the window and I was wasting time waiting for people to show up to catch a movie.
They had, at fair retail prices, many DC Direct and DC Collectible items, including some Wildstorm/Vertigo figures I did not photograph (or my pictures came our crappy), including these:
With some bog standard SpinMaster and Funko stuff mixed in.

Oops I did it again! 
The one on the left is new. I made shelves for books and a small shelf for Tarot decks.
Yet again I have found another way to cram more stuff in that room!
