I have some family and friends who love Smallville (including myself) and I am trying to figure out good shows to introduce them to that follow a similar flow. I know a few of them dabbled with Arrow but what else might be a good suggestion?

The Flash. If they liked Smallville, they’ll like the Flash.

Birds of Prey
It was produced around the same time as early Smallville seasons, had a similar design aesthetic, and sometimes shared the Freak-Of-The-Week format. The cast was pretty great, too.
Roswell (the original series)
Teen aliens dealing with burgeoning powers and high school angst. No tights, no flights – but this show was extremely well-written and well-acted.

In the Superhero genre, definitely Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Outside of the Superhero genre, my recommendations would be The CW’s Roswell (Roswell, New Mexico) and Nancy Drew reboots.
