Let’s pretend L.E.G.I.O.N. is a substitute Legion, what do you say?
Why not, it’s the Christmas spirit after all.
I enjoyed the issue - partially for the brief scene where Jo is imagining Tinya is having an affair with Lar!
Monday
As the Legion continues to be the hot creative ticket these days, here’s some news about Phantom girl set to appear in the current Flash season:
This actually is a great idea since the CW Flash often deals with time travel!
Thanks for bringing this to us, @Don-El . DC Comics (Arrowverse) coupled with Time Travel. Some of my best interests. Can’t wait!!
I’m VERY curious as to what they are up to here.
Did everyone check out the Legion story in the winter special that came out this week?
No, I missed that, thanks for the update.
Neat!
And Now, … We ever so briefly turn our attention to the Throne Room in the Department of Silly Hats !
For those that missed it…
I posted the Legion Holiday story
“Snow Date” in Discord
Danke
I’m almost afraid to ask the function of the Red Orb in the center of the Hat
I always thought it was one of those clown noses that honks when you squeeze it.
Yes, great stuff. I snagged this from it, it’s in other titles too. To use for the upcoming weekend.
What does “adult animated show” mean, exactly?
Some say it means this, some don’t; animated programs targeted towards audiences aged 13 and 18 and over in mind. Works in this medium could be considered adult for any number of reasons, which include the incorporation of explicit or suggestive [sexual content inappropriate for children. Works in this genre may explore philosophical, political, or social issues. Some productions are noted for their complex and/or experimental storytelling and animation techniques. Adult animation is typically defined as animation which skews toward adults. AdWeek called adult animation "animated projects aimed at grown-ups, not kids
That’s probably the most comprehensive definition I’ve ever seen!
I don’t think I was the only person to have that question though, as Bendis posted this on Twitter today:
thanks everyone! for your records, ‘animation for adults’ doesn’t mean porn. I mean, sure it could BUT in this case I promise you it means sci fi with mature themes and content. for example, to me, 5 years later/ the great darkness saga are both in that category
So there you go. I had assumed it was going to be some of the sex that goes on ala the Titans show given there are a bunch of unsupervised young adults running around (and God knows its been in the Legion since the 70s in one way or another).
But his definition is still kind of awkward to me, as 5YL is by definition and adult story with adult Legionnaires, and the GDS is more of a space/superhero epic versus an “adult” tale. Maybe it is since all the Legionnaires were young adults and you have Imra giving birth and whatnot. Who knows? It may not even get that far.
True, I assume 5 years later was defended due to the more adult tone and darkness overall, being for older readers.
