Loving the Gold Lantern. Slowly grew on me. Good character!!! Dawnstar is back to an outfit that’s similar to the one I personally prefer her in lol, so, that’s cool. Like Shadow Lass & Garth…semi- team up I guess…? But. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

I find the Gold Lantern interesting. Not sure about Epoch. My favorite Team-up was Aquaman and Ultra Boy because Jo found Aquaman’s Trident in issue 1 of the Bendis series and I felt it was a nice acknowledgement of that.

Good call, I forgot about that!?!? That was definitely cool :sunglasses:!!

I’m still fairly new to reading The Legion comics. I’m not sure what to think about Gold Lantern and I don’t know who Epoch is. I liked Aquaman and Ultra Boy together. This whole part with Batman was my favorite.

Yeah I agree it’s pretty obvious that Mr Bendis really liked writing Batman. We’ll miss him around here!

Yes. I enjoy his Substack. Like how he always ends with a moment of joy video.

I’m late again T.T

  1. I mean whatever’s happening isn’t GL’s fault, he is clearly very confused about how his ring works lol and sounds like whatever the gold ring might be causing isn’t a conscious decision on GL’s part. So seems like he’s a nice guy in a bad situation? :")
  2. What title are we supposed to be caught up on to find out about Epoch?? I’m guessing Justice League but does anyone have issue numbers, even if they’re just a general range? I get very overwhelmed trying to figure out Justice League titles :“”")
  3. Terry-Batman and the founders seems like it’ll be fun, also because we don’t have to know what was going on in Justice League to enjoy it (so far). For Naomi, Brainy, Mon, and Kamandi it sounds like we’re supposed to have some background info on what Leviathan is and why Naomi says they’re bad? But I haven’t read Justice League :“”) I am quite nervous that they’re splitting up though, it’s already issue 3/6 and things are just starting to happen, will he have enough time to get everyone back together AND beat the big bad?? :frowning: ((I guess technically it’s cheating on this question since they didn’t go to the past but Bruce-Batman and Cham team-up has me excited bc Cham is my fav, even though Bendis-Cham doesn’t seem to be much of a detective if at all? Hard to tell, from the Bendis Legion title it seems like Bendis-Cham’s personality is just “president’s son” rip, but maybe that will change??))
  4. The double-page spreads are fricking b e a u t i f u l, every single one of them!! I see why it took so long for them to publish these, they were squeezing every last drop out of the artists for every issue, like geez…I almost feel like they overuse the double-page spreads and it makes them lose some overall effect, but they’re great to look at soooo I guess it’s fine lol I also thought it was funny when Black Adam shot Timberwolf a dirty look haha

Also is it just me or were there kind of a lot of typos in this series so far? Like occasional spelling mistakes are one thing (esp with all the gibberish planet names and whatnot) but there were like two instances where a regular word was completely omitted, I did like double and triple-takes because I thought maybe my eyes were wrong, which is not the smoothest reading experience :“”) Can’t they fix that for the digital readers at least, kinda like how they recolored a lot of the old issues, or is that really hard?

I agree about the odd grammar and editing issues. I’m also in general surprised we all still speak English with verbs and nouns, subjects and predicates. The way everything’s breaking down into abbreviations and three letter representations of words, I don’t know, soon it’ll just be a bevy of abbreviations and grunts and snorts I suppose. I guess I’m saying I’m not sure the people doing the high-tech digitizing would have the necessary grammatical weapons to repair anything LOL.

Yeah too bad this couldn’t have been 12 issues with all these separate adventures that could have been delineated in even more detail.

Okay Epoch, I guess it’s a Justice League comic let me go check.

I totally agree on the artwork being incredible. It’s been a joy with the Bendis run, overall this has been some of the best artwork for Legion I’ve seen in a long time.

That is definitely great art. I for sure was aware while I was reading that it wasn’t anything to spit at…
