Lee Bermejo Returns to Gotham City for "Dear Detective"

Lee Bermejo, who’s most famous for his art in books like Joker, Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, and Batman: Damned, and he most recently did a long line of variant covers for Detective Comics. What we didn’t know was that apparently his idea was to have each cover tell a sequential story. Releasing under the graphic novella Batman: Dear Detective, this will feature a mix of the covers and a series of prose segments of a mysterious foe writing disturbing letters for Batman.

This looks really cool – this is a weird and experimental sort of thing we don’t get very often, and I’m really excited to see what Bermejo can do with this.

Sign me up! Love Bermejo’s work. I’ve admired his recent run of variant covers without indulging in buying any floppies, so I’ll probably get me a hard copy of this book.
