We’re back for the 15th(!) vote on ‘Batman: The Legacy Cowl’ and this time, Knightwatchers, we’re picking the stunt action for Batman in the Batmobile - the design of which we picked in an earlier vote!
Let’s get a look at our options as drawn by artist Pablo Collar:
A classic. What action movie hasn’t had a car bursting through a chain link fence? Whether it is the bad guy trying to get away or the hero breaking through an obstacle in pursuit this is a standard for action movies and TV shows and is always a fun, dramatic moment. The artwork here by Pablo Collar really brings the scene to life as well - good stuff and the Batmobile we picked looks awesome!
Holy flying cars, Batman! This option shows our Batmobile taking flight as it leaps an embankment! This is another standard for action movies and TV shows and usually represents a step up in budget and stunt work from the chain link fence. Out of context it’s hard to see what Batman is leaping to/from but it’s clear he is flying - literally and figuratively - asking the Batmobile to give him everything it has!
This panel is clearly set in Chinatown, the district we picked as the lair for the villain, and it appears Batman is heading into the sewers in pursuit. Or is he running from something? We’ll have to wait and find out when issue #1 drops later this year. Once again Pablo Collar has made our Batmobile look awesome - we picked a good one! But is this really a stunt action? I think this might make it into the book even if we don’t pick it, depending on Dan Abnett’s script.
There you have it! Which one do you like and why? Let me know below!
