What originally got you into DC Comics?

I had watched re-runs of Batman ’66 when I was very young. When I was a little older, I watched Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Teen Titans, Static Shock, Batman Beyond, and whatever else was on in that time frame that I am forgetting right now. I loved them all. I wanted to read comics but I didn’t know where to start. Someone bought me Batman New 52 Vol 1 and I was sold. I also read Flash New 52; those series were the two main series that hooked me into comics.

Who is your favorite DC character, and why?

For a long time, I just said Batman when asked this question, but now my answer is Tim Drake. (With Damian Wayne in a close second.) Tim was the first Robin to seek out Batman. He wanted to be Robin and he wanted to help Batman. I know he gets written off as the ‘boring’ Robin but he is the heart of them.

What books are you currently reading?

So many. I am working my way through No Mans Land right now. I just started that. I’m also currently reading through all of the New 52 week by week. Which is a fun process. I’m reading a lot of series I haven’t read previously.

I’m reading a bunch of new releases too, Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent, Batman Incorporated, Poison Ivy, Static: Shadows of Dakota, The Flash, Tim Drake: Robin, Worlds Finest, Nightwing, Batman, Detective Comics, and Action Comics. I know I forgot a bunch, but I am reading some of these physical but a lot here with Ultra.

Are you watching any DC movies or shows?

I’m watching the final season of Flash, season 3 of Superman and Lois and season 1 of Gotham Knights. I have a backlog; I never watched the final seasons of Doom Patrol, Stargirl or Titans. (I’ll get to them one day.) I’m looking forward to the Flash and Blue Beetle movies this year.

What are you most looking forward to within the DC universe?

Can I just say everything? I’m curious to see what James Gunn and Co. will do moving forward. I’m excited for the future of the comics as well. Every new series that gets announced makes me so happy.

Congrats, @Row.Harper! Love that you were recognized as a member of the month. I definitely feel like you bring a fun and energetic vibe to the forums that is needed. I enjoy seeing your posts and think you bring a lot here. Thankful for the people that have been recognized so far and you add to this so greatly. (Also wow, a lot of us have worked for Target. Myself included in the past.)
