She’s as hard-boiled as they come. Roy Thomas and Dick Giordano bring to miniseries a potent blend of noir and the fantastic. Kinda like the Spectre, in a way.

I hadn’t really been paying attention to that, but “hard-boiled” and “noir” makes my ears perk up in the best ways. I might have to add that to the list.
