The cartoon “Justice League Action” added a love interest to Booster Gold’s backstory.
In the show, he was an impoverished janitor in the distant future, and fell madly in love with a wealthy heiress, who returned his feelings despite their class differences.
On their wedding day, Booster left her at the altar. He was worried that a working stiff like him would be unable to support a family, so he stole the super suit and travelled back in time to make a fortune off of merchandising so he’d be good enough for her.
However, in the even more distant future where he succeeds and goes through with the wedding, he turns out to be a terrible husband and bankrupts her father’s company through sheer stupidity, so she becomes a super villain and travels back in time to kill the Justice League.
Yes the Justice League Action episode had one that was actually pretty funny
I seem to remember some drooling over the ladies in the JLI days, but that’s all I know.
