I enjoyed Sejics’ art a great deal before he came to DC. I’ve loved his output here so far, and this looks to continue that.

Not familiar with this artist, but the art samples so far look great. I really hope Black Label issues can be added to DCU as regular DC comics.

His DC work that’s on DCU can be found in the Rebirth Aquaman series. Issues 25-30 for cover and interior art, then issues 31-33 for covers only. My favorite covers of his are 26, 31 and 33.

He also had a short stint on Justice League Odyssey.

Thanks! I just quickly checked those covers out and they’re beautiful. I have a good feeling about this series! Can’t have too much Harley, I always say

Harley fans are gonna be eating good for the next year or so. An animated series, a liveaction movie, and a DC Black Label book.

You’re welcome. DC seems to agree with you on the “never too much Harley” front.

@Mae Harleen was profiled on today’s episode of DC Daily. They showed some interior art too! It looks good.

Honestly I’m not looking forward to this. Sejic is a massively talented artist but the synopsis makes this seem like a drawn-out rehash of Mad Love, which is one of my all-time favorite comics. To be fair, the book hasn’t come out yet, so I can’t make any real judgement, this is just my reaction to the teaser DC’s given us so far.

@Vroom I read an interview with Jim Lee where he said that after the Trinity, Harley is the most important character to DC.

I got a bit burned out on Ms. Quinn, but I really enjoyed her in Heroes in Crisis. I’m hoping Harleen will be similar

@El-Jor I concur, as I read an interview where he said that too. Harley’s a popular one, that’s for sure.

In terms of all the other stuff Sejic has done, he also drew a few issues of Suicide Squad during the Rebirth era, some pages for a Harley Quinn Annual, and a Poison Ivy story for Secret Origins. Before all of that he was also a prolific artist the Top Cow books, specifically Witchblade. He’s also written and drawn for Image the book Death Vigil, and a whole saga of romance stories called Sunstone, which is REALLY good, but be warned, it did start out as Sejic drawing softcore bondage porn as a fun warm-up that slowly but surely grew a whole universe around it.

Funnily enough, this is another project that grew from him doing as a warm-up for his other projects that quickly grew a life of it’s own. He used to have it on his DeviantArt page but took it and a bunch of other stuff out a while back. But like most things posted on the internet, it’s still around. I don’t think it will completely be completely like those pages, but it should give you an idea of what the book is going for.

One of my favorite Top Cow books drawn by Sejic was Aphrodite IX. He did great things on that book.

@Jay_Kay I forgot about his Suicide Squad covers and the like. Thanks for the reminder.

Hopefully this book will lean towards the older version of Harley haven’t really liked the newer stuff but I’m probably not the main audience for the newer stuff anyway

Oh my gosh, I am so excited for this! I have quite a soft spot when it comes to Harley and Stjepan Šejić is one of my all-time favorite artists.
