When reading backwards speech (like Zatanna’s spells), how do you read them in your head?
zatanna3

  • I try to read it as it’s written (“Ee-kat 'em ott eh-t eeno…”)
  • I try to keep the sounds but reverse them (“Kate eem oot eethe nuw…”)
  • I just start at the end of each word and read normally (“Take me to the one…”)
  • Other (Esaelp nethgilne su.)

Ah, this is always annoying. I keep expecting the entire word bubble to be flipped, but instead I have to read the words backwards individually.

I hear in my head basically an audio clip of the words being played backwards (which I believe they do for Zatanna in several of the animated series and movies)

I read it as written at first, and then decipher it.

Same as above

I read the same as @mccaggers91

eht slwo era ton tahw yeht mees.

Same. I like to know the sound of it in my head before deciphering the meaning.
