The producers teased “a new version of Deathstroke” and the show is heavily inspired by The New Teen Titans. TNTT started with Slade rejecting a contract that was picked up by a Deathstroke fanboy who had an axe to grind with the Titans so he made a deal with HIVE to get a similar costume and a (faulty) supersoldier serum so he could take on the Titans. Then the serum killed him when his adrenaline started pumping during a fight with the Titans and it was revealed he was Slade’s son Grant. The Deathstroke in the trailer seems to have a gray version of Deathstroke’s mask, which is similar to have Grant’s Ravager suit looked in the New 52, it even had red eyes.

Pretty sure the op is just meaning that the deathstroke in the teaser looks like deadshot with the bionic eye.
