Debate: What is the BEST DC Live Action movie?

Man of steel and B v S I watch as one film just because they flow that well together. By the time I’m done I have to watch Wonder Woman. Diana is my favorite character of the trinity. The three films just work so well together. However I can’t possibly do favorites with out Watchmen it’s so unique and I can watch it over and over. These 4 must share the #1 spot. IMO.

Honorable mentions
Batman 89 this made me love comics and comic films. I was 10 when my mom took me and my brother to see this. It is still one of my all time favorites.
Batman begins
Dark knight.

I know I totally cheated but my nerd love runs deep. I could watch any one of these a 1000 times and not get bored.

Not counting the Nolan movies, I’d probably pick Wonder Woman. Aside from the bad design of the villain, it’s tops for me.

Suicide Squad is probably the worst movie I’ve seen though. I’d rather watch a porno starring my grandparents than try to sit through those 2 hours of actors confusingly reciting recycled cool-guy lines from “Fast and the Furious.”

@Super-Squirrel I’ll nominate Catwoman…for Triumph The Insult Comic Dog to do his thing with.

I’m not going to say it is the best, that is for others to decide, but I would like for The Losers to be considered. More star power than almost any other DC movie not titled Justice League.

The best I would say is dark knight hands on heath ledger was awesome and that is only one reason

The Losers truly is one of the best DC movies in general, and certainly one of the top two Vertigo movies (the other being V for Vendetta).

Chris Evans is such a wonderful wiseass in it, while Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Idris Elba are great hardasses.

The cinematography of The Losers is quite lush, slick and vivid too.

I really gotta go with Superman II. I saw it when it first came out when I was about 9 years old and I think it wowed me even more than the first film did.
Of course both Superman films are a total nitpick party when you look at them as an adult. But as a kid, they are just sheer magic!

Superman II is definitely a great one with General Zod and Ursa

Cliff Clavin himself, John Ratzenberger, was also a noteworthy contributor to Superman II’s dramatis personae (that goes for the first movie too).

In my opinion it’s either Batman Vs sup or Lego Batman lol; but for real the sequence when Batman is saving sup’s mom is Amazing but who is stoked for the Batman; rumored to have half a dozen villians including penguin and Catwoman. Dear God, DC and Mr Reaves please hear my wish and pick the only actor suitable to be the Batman which is Jake Gyllenhaal. Comment if u agree with my choice as Batman or who u think the Batman should be.

Seems like more work went into The Lego Batman Movie than any other DC movie so Imma go with that. Plus, the fact that all their designs are amazing.

Bruce falling for Barbara? Just another thing that makes it so great!

If we can include LEGO, than a couple are in my top 5 lego/brainiac was great as was lego Batman.

I don’t have a problem with who’s been cast. I don’t know enough about the script to make the call against. I’m not in the casting room, so it’s difficult to say. I’ll wait til the final product is released until I make the call. People were freaking out when Keaton got cast and the story and style suited he’s acting style and abilities. I think the “who they cast” is much ado about nothing. Certainly fans are entitled to their opinions, but without knowing details like the script and “tone” it’s really flying blind, IMO.

But that’s not Bruce falling for Barbara, that’s just a one night thing so it’s totally different.

Barbara persued Bruce, Bruce never persued Barbara, he was just a mentour so I’m not sure what you’re trying to get at. Barbara even tells her friend that she thinks he is her boyfriend, Bruce didn’t fall for Barbara, falling in love is more than just feelings of attraction and Barbara wasn’t in love with Bruce but more infatuated or borderline obsessed.

Bruce didn’t talk to Barbara for days after their one time encounter, not only because it changed things but because he already knew they couldn’t be together, quite different from Mask Of Phantasm where he was willing to put up the suit and get married to Andrea. Barbara only fantasized about being with Batman/Bruce as young people tend to do. This is why she desperately resorted to “It was just sex, it meant nothing. I don’t care, you don’t care!” Realistically she knew those small feelings were never going to go further than that one night, she finally realized that her feelings were more fantasy than actual feelings - hence giving up the suit later, not to protect herself or Bruce but because it made things awkward and hard between them.

Either way, it’s quite different from how The Lego Batman Movie was structured in it’s romance story, Bruce meets Barbara and falls head over heels in love with her at first sight, even moreso as they get to know each other. Take into consideration that Barbara isn’t a young college girl in The Lego Batman movie so that’s why I’m not sure how you say the that the same could be said about The Killing Joke.

Also, just a reminder that The Lego Batman Movie is live action and The Killing Joke is an animated film.

Gibbster my friend, Lego movies are animated/animation.

Unless you’re seeing Legos all around you, that is. Then you live in Legoland where (you knew it was coming) “everything is awesome!”

As a student in screen writing, I would say The Dark Knight. It follows Campbell’s Hero Journey so perfectly. On top of the amazing screen writing, the cinematography and acting made the movie one of the best for all time.
Other than that, I liked Batman Vs Superman. I thought it was a great way to introduce the new DC line of heroes. A gritty Batman who understands his actions for the past 20 years haven’t mattered, and caused the death of Dick. An alien trying to be human but being worshipped as a god. A genius who is realistic rather than perfect.

There are two types of Lego movies, the animated (Cgi) and stop-animation/live action hybrids made with real life Legos. Lego Movie 1 and 2 even has real people in the background, Lego Ninjago was filmed in a real life backyard.

Everytime I go to Wal-Mart, or other stores, yes yes, I do see Legos with moving parts in the movie settings everyone does
