Death Metal and the future of DC - speculation and spoilers likely

I was reading a Scott Snyder interview on CBR and he seems to say Generations is either not happening or changing. This is PURELY reading between the lines and I could be off. It was no kind of announcement.
To me, It sounds like he’s saying that DiDio leaving allowed DC the chance to change course from Generations. I think I am more comfortable with Snyder having a hand in cleaning up continuity than DiDio. He does not say that’s his role. I’m guessing this could be why a 7th issue was added to Death Metal.
Again, all speculation.

Makes me feel a little better that even though they decided to change things with generations and 5G, they still are on plan. That this whole thing has a destination. Not rebooting just to wipe the slate clean, but tell some new stories and start new adventures.
