While I might have become more cynical towards Doomsday Clock over the years, #10 is still very much my favorite issue in all of the series. The revelations centered around Dr. Manhattan and the DC universe are so so damn intriguing, I can’t really express how amazing this was when it first came out. Gary Frank art is fantastic, the narrative around the actor is interesting, and the exploration of the modern DC multiverse features my favorite in-universe meta explanation on the importance of Superman. It really was that good and it sold me on the idea of Dr. Manhattan vs Superman as a concept with just one line.
“I am a being of inaction. On a collision course with a man of action.”

Honestly, when I read this issue, I put on Pruit Igoe and Prophecies in the background and enjoy what was a great story in a ultimately flawed series.

Dear DC Diary,

So many hot DC characters to choose from, this poor gal can barely decide!

I’m sure you’ll find the perfect choice soon, don’t worry :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Dear DC Diary,

Even if Fluffy is technically on the Marvel side… this is hilarious. It just goes to show at the end of the day, the DC vs. Marvel debate is stupid, and we all have better things to do with our lives (I hope).

Although… some of y’all really do have kryptonite :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Often wonder if we’re ever going to get to that point where you might say. " I need more Justice Society."

Dear DC Diary,

Jessica Cruz has like the best big sister in the world. Sara Cruz doesn’t appear much but I love how supportive in helping Jessica getting her back into the world and her endeavors as a Green Lantern. It’s just so wholesome to have these moments for her. :0_lc_green_lantern_jessica_cruz1: :green_heart:

The Johns run is so long and perfect, that I can never need more, even if I would love a 999,999,999,999,999,999 issue long run.

Dear Diary,

I decided to get more into Cyborg and decided to read all three of his most relevant series.

  • Cyborg (2015) by David F Walker

  • Cyborg (2016) By John Semper Jr.

  • Cyborg (2023) The four issues released on DC Infinite written by Morgan Hampton.

I just think it is a terrible move to use Maxwell Lord after Wonder Woman 1984. Terribly received movie with him being one of the few well received parts. Better to use Morgan Edge or someone else.

You’re right about WW1984. It had LOT of issues, but Pedro Pascal Maxwell Lord was pretty good.
I might worry if they decide to make him traditionally villainous in the films. Not only because I like the character, but also because It would be dumb if they depict him as either a evil businessman or spy who wants control over everything. We already got that with Lex Luthor and Amanda Waller. So hopefully it’s just the duplicitous figure in the superhero community who has those redeeming qualities from the international era.

Also. Morgan Edge. Nice.
