A while ago, I suggested that DCU add a feature where users could create reading lists like this. I hope they do it.

Of course, if the library’s going to be dropping comics, the reading lists won’t work consistently. But that’s another topic

Is there anything pre-birth that I should read before I start this?

Not really, the end of Grayson is helpful to starting Nightwing Vol. 1 but really only barely. They explain most of the key points.

Superwoman is kind of a mess but honestly isn’t all that impactful as anything more than a fleshing out of the superman world.

That’s all I can really think of. Ultimately Rebirth is a pretty good starting point. Of course reading the encyclopedia parts for each character is helpful. Just make sure the story isn’t spoiled in the articles.

Small Edit. Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Vol. 5 should go after Superman Vol. 5. I’ve fixed it in my V 0.4 Update.

Bumping because people keep asking for this reading order.

Where would Doomsday Clock come in?

Hey
How do I find the Superman Family comic here?

Superman Family is just a section dedicated to superman and his other comics. The Superman family is Superman, action comics, new super-man, superwoman, supergirl, SuperSons. Theres no Superman family comic it’s more about the connectedness. Example in the Superman Family part 1 section. Action Comics vol. 1 is partly about lex becoming Superman. The family side of action comics also continues in Superman Vol. 1. The lex side also appears in new Super-man vol. 2 and wonderwoman vol. 1. If you want to feel like the universe is really fleshed out reading the family side is best for that. Another option which I’ll write for you guys is a fast track to understanding the most essential reads. For superman, read Superman and Read Action Comics. Read vol. 1 of new super-man and decide what you think. Hope that helps.

@turtleshell. Doomsday clock is actually currently in the future of DC Comics. The actions that take place in the DC world throughout rebirth even the later parts of the series all occur before Doomsday which takes place roughly a year after dark knights.

To get to Doomsday as fast as you can read
Watchmen (not on DCU)
DC Universe #1
Titans Vol. 1
The Button Crossover
Oz Effect
A lonely place of living (not on DCU)
Heroes in Crises (not on DCU Still being published)
Then Doomsday Clock.

Note you can choose to only read
Watchmen
DC Universe #1
The Button
Doomsday

The list before is a list of comics which reference Dr. Manhattans mingling.

Hope that helps

@dc-universe, it looks like there’s one issue of Superman Family in the Comics section, #182 (184? Somewhere in that area.).

Search for “Superman Family” and it will come up under the “Comics” tab in the search results.

I just noticed that The Flash #1 is mistakenly listed in the Comics section as The Flash: Rebirth #1, the one-shot that begins the ongoing Rebirth Flash series.

Bumping up because there isn’t a V0.4 this week due to no new rebirth comics!

Also let me know if you are using this. It means the world to me!

I’m going to use this. You wouldn’t happen to have a New 52 reading order would you @Nathan.Payson?

I don’t! @Oreum There is A WAY better version of this.
