Why does this app have such a limited amount of movie content? Or am I missing something.

Content is available on a curated-basis, meaning every so often new content is released to the service. Video content may be rotated in and out, based on user popularity, while for the most part comic content is here to stay and added to over time.
I hope this clears things up a bit!

They’re working on licensing of most movie after that then they’ll add them back permanently
Bear in mind that the Roku app doesn’t show all the movies available.
