Detective Comics #31 and #32. It’s my most fave B-Man story of all time- ‘Batman Versus The Vampire’ parts 1 and 2. The first twelve issues from Detective Comics #27 on is my most fave era of B-Man and this story is the best of those issues. The writing and the artwork just flourishes with a gorgeous late 1930s tone and really takes you back to the era. These were the formative days of the Caped Crusader. It was the very first Golden Age era DC story I ever read and it features the very first appearance of the Batplane (called the “Bat Gyro”) and the very first time B-Man created and used a Batarang. When I was first learning about B-Man after watching the 1989 movie I read this story and was completely amazed by it. :smiley:
