DC must Love The Mummy, what else does it love?

Fun Exercise in Coincidence -

So, there are three major actors from the Mummy who appear as voice actors for DC. Brendan Fraser, obviously, as Robot Man, but also Oded Fehr as Dr. Fate in JL Unlimited and Ra’s Al Ghul in YJ, and Arnold Vosloo, who did Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam, voicing Black Adam, All Star Superman as Bar-El and Green Lantern: Emerald Knights as Abin Sur.

While I know that this sort of thing is generally just a fun coincidence, what other ‘fun coincidences’ are out there? Anyone else notice a group of individuals associated together from something else who have all ended up at DC one way or another?

The Raimi Spider-Man films:

  • Willem Dafoe as Vulko in Aquaman

  • Lucy Lawless voices Wonder Woman in Justice League: The New Frontier
  • Brent Briscoe as a cop in The Dark Knight Rises

  • Daniel Dae Kim voices Metron in Justice League Unlimited
  • Phil LaMarr voices John Stewart in Justice League/JLU (among plenty of other roles)
  • Elizabeth Banks will be an executive producer of the upcoming DC Super Hero High series

Wow! That’s almost the entire main and recurring cast!

I almost listed actors/actresses from Chuck, but both TNG and Chuck have been turned into comics under DC and Wildstorm, which would be a blanket for DC’s love of those shows.

Not the greatest, but

  • Camilla Luddington voiced Lara Croft and Zatanna in Justice League Dark
  • Robin Atkin Downes voiced Roth/Solarii/Scientist/Prisoner and Bulldog (LOT)/Riddler (Enemy Within)/Flash (Dominator)/Angelo (Suicide Squad)/Creatures (BvS) to name a few
  • Andy Hoff voiced Weiss/Crewman and Cop (Lucifer)

Since WB made the latest film (and hopefully sequel), a marketing boost may occur in DC Comics releasing some issues.
