DC Music, Heroes Have Beats

Been thinking about how memorable some music can be and that can stay with us forever. What are some of your favorite times music has been used in DC movies or tv shows?

Mine would be
Smallville’s opening theme song: Somebody Save Me!
The Supergirl sequence with her against Red Tornado
The haunting beginning music of Under the Red Hood
The inspiring music in the Christian Bale Batman trilogy
and of course, honorable mention, the 60’s music stays no matter what! (Who else appreciated the use in the Dark Metal comics?)

It has been a while since I’ve watched it, but I really enjoyed the musical crossover of Supergirl and the Flash (part of Flash season 3, titled Duet). I thought it was fun to see the actors and actresses show off their musical talents.

This musical number really served to make a meal out of an otherwise one note villain.

Yes, and they were able to pull it off so the villain and singing made sense

None of the Music Meister’s songs in Batman: The Brave and the Bold will ever leave my head.

Also who can forget the cheesy 2000s pop used in the Birds of Prey show? I think that was actually a later addition because of rights issues, but still…

The opening sequence to Batman: the Animated Series is perfect and very memorable.
