Pride Profile: José Villarrubia. This Madrid born artist is known as a fine art photographer and Eisner award winning colorist. His contributions to DC looks like a list of some of the most visually interesting series the company has produced including Promethea, Sweet Tooth, Batman: Year 100, and The Other History of the DC Universe. This self-identified LGTBQ+ Spanish-American was also nominated for a GLAAD award for his work with Sarah Vaughn and Lan Medina on Deadman: Dark Mansion of Forbidden Love which included the first non-binary African-American character in DC.
