That’s awesome, @TurokSonOfStone1950! All of it, actually- Thank you! :purple_heart: Also, :eyes: I don’t know that I entirely agree w/ the CBR assessment of Wonder Woman vs. Hawkgirl, but an epic battle, for sure.

Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl haven’t always been buddies
But they are unbeatable
When they work together

As in the Hades episode in JLU that the DC History Club will give a shout out to this week

:point_up_2:That. More of that. Yes, please, DC. :00_hawkman1: :00_wonder_woman_gold:

Let’s do this Hawkgirl thing!

From DC Universe Classics (aka the best DC toy line that isn’t Kenner’s Super Powers Collection):

Hawkgirl in her original release:

Long after the above had been out, HG was reincarnated for retail release in a two-pack with Gentleman Ghost:

A more recent Hawkgirl of note (and originally a DC Universe exclusive):

On the comic side of things, here’s the issue of Justice League of America v1 where Hawkgirl joined the team:

Thanks for finding that

When I look at
Silver Age Hawkman

I worry that he might be considered condescending to his wife sometimes

After all
Gardner Fox
Was an older male
When he wrote this

Here he does fine

1646696810160

After all
He did create the character in 1940.

No problemo!

Speaking of Hawkman, how about a Hawkman to go with the Hawkgirl from above?

Both of the DCUC Hawks are worthy of inclusion in the Thanagarian Archives.

Now, who wants to talk about Hawkgirl? You know, the series that debuted as part of One Year Later…

crickets chirp while an awkward cough is heard in the still audience

Yeah, it wasn’t too good as I remember. I found each issue to be a slog, and haven’t re-read any of it since it originally came out.

DC HIstory Club will cover the Hawkgirl Title in Week 3.

Lets just say,
The immediately
Previous issues
Of Hawkman
Written by Geoff Johns
Was way better
Especially the first arc.

Kendra
In that title
Is a firm co star
And
Her young personality
Is explored well

Considering
Who the
Writer and artist were
It should have been a great
Hawkgirl series

Cool! I was actually wanting to re-read Hawkgirl, given how I’ve been hip-dip in a One Year Later project for the last year, and naturally that title is the one that will come dead last to re-read.

@Alec.Holland says “Oh, he didn’t forget about the One Year Later thing he mentioned when I was doing Office Hours. Well, that’s good.”

Nope, it just takes time to make a list.

Anyhow Turok (would you mind if I called you “Mr. T”?), I agree that Johns’ Hawkman was absolutely better than Hawkgirl was.

tugs on his “Geoff Johns Fan and Highly Proud of It” t-shirt

Hawkman soared and was wonderfully fun, while Hawkgirl…well, it was cool to see Kendra in her own book, even if it wasn’t very good, unfortunately.

I liked Mr T
But
I don’t know
If younger members
Know who he is

“Pity the fools”

Mr. T kicks ass, and so do you, so I’mma call you “Mr. T” for short, if that’s okay.

Well, I know who he is…

says “I pity the fool who don’t check in on the DC History Club, 'cuz that’s where all the cool crew is, man!” in his best Mr. T-style voice

Oh my, doing Mr. T makes one’s throat scratchy.

coughs

I need the Thanagarian equivalent of Dasani (better yet, Vitamin Water)…

We seem to be posting together on multiple fronts today

Reminds me of this scene
In Henry V

Especially

“You and I alone can fight this royal battle”

You are of course the young Henry V, I, the older guy

You’re saying that I’m akin to Kenneth Branagh?

Dude…

…that’s just…awesome, my friend. Thank you. :fist_right:t2: :fist_left:t2:

Hey! Tell me a DC figure you’d like to have, and I’ll track down some images of it for you, so you can stare at it in delight when the mood strikes.

C’mon, rattle off a character and I’ll work some magic for ya, buddy! You earned it.

It’s okay

My sister forced me to throw away all the action figures she saw

“Because I was not a child.”

“I should clean up my mess so she wouldn’t have to do it after I died.”

My Warner Brothers plushies are all I have left

Plus 5 of the 7 Justice League Animated figures that DCU gave me later
